GSSM Opens offices in Europe and North America
July 2010 - GSSM Australia is proud to announce the opening of two new offices in Europe and North America. The expansion of our company has been in response to a significant increase in interest in our product range and an overall growth in awareness of the importance of certified safety garments being used in critical applications. GSSM has led the way on the global stage, informing and encouraging improved safety standards and policies, particularly with regard to PPE selection and purchase.

Airtec Chemical Protective Suit
GSSM Pty Ltd has developed a new and improved design of their detachable chemical protective hood, which is part of the Airtec™ chemical protective suit range.
The new version of the hood, shows how easily the hood fits over industrial safety helmets, with or without an attached protective face shield being worn.
The new hood design allows for easy adjustment of a protective face shield in the open or closed position, without compromising fit or comfort of the safety helmet.
The high comfort, breathable PTFE membrane - which is a prime feature of the Airtec™ suit design - is also a feature of the new Airtec™ hood design.
GSSM Director Dennis Mahony says the new improved hood design comes from his work and development time spent looking at the functionality and protection afforded by the hood component of the specialist protective rainwear that GSSM supplies to the Australian department of defence and others.

AIOH Convention in Canberra
GSSM recently returned from the AIOH (Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene) Convention and Exhibition in Canberra, held December 5-9 2009. The gathering brought together the best minds in the country to solve occupational health problems and continue Australia's evolution as one of the world's safest countries to work in. The conference reinforced our belief that compliance, certification and best practice are essential in the workplace. Substandard safety equipment and apparel only lowers the bar, while governments, industry and academia is working so hard to raise it.
